For many bingo players, bingo night isn’t just about playing bingo and the potential for winning cash and prizes. For them, it’s about everything. It’s the ambiance, the comradery, the anticipation, and believe it or not, the food also plays an important part of the experience.

While pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, maid rites, pork tenderloins, and nachos seem to be standard fare, there’s a whole range of snacks that are a huge hit with bingo players around the world. Some of them are regional favorites while others are newly created concoctions sure to delight the taste buds and satisfy the desire to snack while playing bingo.

Think about homemade angel food cake drenched in fresh strawberries and whipped cream or open roast beef sandwiches topped with mozzarella cheese and caramelized onions. Bingo Lings, located at the Robinson Hotel and Casino in Nice, California features Asian fusion dishes such as udon noodles and stir fry reminiscent Mongolian grills.

Of course you don’t have to go to the bingo hall or the casino to enjoy some of the great snack foods that are featured. You can bring the bingo concession stand home, and create these tasty treats in your own kitchen and enjoy them while playing bingo in the comfort of your own home. Most of them are easy to make up for a bingo party.

    Delicious Dessert S’mores

Everyone loves the taste of S’mores. You don’t need a campfire to recreate this delicious dessert that is sure to delight both home bingo players and the kids, too. There are just a few ingredients involved. Combine the following over medium low heat.

    • 1 ½ cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
    • 1 ½ Tbsp. melted butter
    • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
    • ½ can of sweetened condensed milk

When smooth remove from the heat and pour over a graham cracker crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove and let cool. For the ‘marshmallow’ layer, combine the following over medium low heat.

    • 1 cup of white chocolate chips
    • 1/2 cup of marshmallow crème
    • The remaining ½ can of sweetened condensed milk

Once it is smooth pour it over the top of the chocolate and graham cracker layers. Let chill in the refrigerator overnight before serving.

    Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza Bombs

Another super-easy snack food perfect for bingo night is cheese and pepperoni pizza bombs as created by Amy Derosier. These can be made up just before you sit down to a game of bingo.

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.

In each muffin cup place lay a triangle of crescent dough.

Add one teaspoon of marinara sauce on top of each triangle of dough. Ragu Thick and Traditional Pasta sauce is an excellent choice.

Take one fourth of a string cheese stick and place on the crescent dough and sauce.
Top with two pieces of pepperoni. Fold each into a ball and top with Italian herb seasoning.
Bake for 8 -10 minutes until golden brown. If you wish, heat some of the remaining marinara sauce to serve on the side and enjoy!

    Nachos with a Delicious Twist

If you get a craving for a taste of something from South of the Border at a bingo party, why not try some nachos with a delicious twist? Spicy baked black bean nachos can serve not only you but several members of your family!
