Play Roulette Online at BingoMania

The game of roulette is one of the most popular games in casinos around the world. It began in the 18th Century and later spread in popularity to the gaming halls. Today, you don’t need to travel to exotic locales or even to your nearest casino to try your hand at roulette. You can play roulette online here at BingoMania, too!

Much like casino roulette games, the roulette ball spins along the edge of the Roulette wheel until it settles on a specific numbered slot on the wheel. Each slot on the Roulette wheel is marked with a red and black slot. There are also one or two green slots.

There are two specific types of Roulette, European and American. European Roulette wheels have a total of 37 slots numbered from 0-36, whereas American Roulette wheel slots are numbered from 0 – 36 with a 00 slot. This additional slot increases the odds in favor of the House or casino.

You can bet whatever denomination chip you choose for each spin of the Roulette wheel. There are two kinds of betting in Roulette: Outside or inside betting. Outside betting is the most common and involves betting outside the numbers on the board next to the Roulette wheel by betting on either black or red. Inside bets are usually on specific numbers or a range of numbers. There are other variations to playing the game. Playing online Roulette at BingoMania, you could have a chance to win by participating in one of our weekly Roulette tournaments.

Play Blackjack Online at BingoMania

Playing blackjack online is a good way to get comfortable with the game. Like every other game on BingoMania, you can play blackjack online at any time of the day and anywhere – whether it’s in the comfort of your own home or on your mobile device. For many players, playing blackjack online becomes an enjoyable pastime and you can win money at any time of the day or night.

Like Roulette, blackjack games also have chips in a variety of denominations.  You place your bet in the denomination you wish.
In blackjack, you begin by making a bet. There can be a single or multiple players that are betting against the dealer. Each player is playing for themselves. Each card in a game of Blackjack has a different value. The object of the game is to get the closest to 21 without going over. An Ace can be worth either one or 11 points in a game of blackjack.

A hand that is automatically worth 21 points would be an ace and a face card. This is considered a blackjack, which is considered a win. It is possible for the dealer to also have a blackjack.  If the dealer gets blackjack, all players immediately lose unless they also have a blackjack.

If the dealer in the game is showing an ace, he will offer insurance to the players. This can be purchased for half of what they bet at the start of the game. If the dealer has a blackjack, players can win the insurance but lose their initial bet amount.
If neither the player nor the dealer has blackjack, the player can choose to ask for a “hit”. The hit is the draw of another card that may or may not improve his hand. If the next card pushes the player over 21, they are a “bust”. A player can opt for as many hits as they like as long as they don’t go over 21. The player also has the choice to “stand” against the dealer. This means that the player doesn’t want any more cards to be dealt.

After the player or players have all revealed their hands, the dealer draws their card and must have 16 or less and can stand with 17 or greater. If the dealer busts, the player or players win.

The best way to get familiar with the games is by playing. Of course there are lots of sites that offer strategies for playing either online blackjack or Roulette. Most online casinos will have a fun mode that allows a player to play without having to place a bet.  This kind of safe betting is a great way to build proficiency before jumping into the game. Real money can be won once players are familiar and comfortable with the system. Be sure to check out our BingoMania specials and special events for Roulette and blackjack players.

Bingo for Kids at Home & School

When playing bingo for fun online and in the bingo hall, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that the game was used as a teaching tool in the 18th Century. It all began in Germany when educators used the cards to teach children many concepts such as spelling and language skills, mathematics, and the natural world. Bingo was also used as a way to teach young people about the natural world of plants, animals, and birds.

Today bingo is not only a fun activity for kids on a rainy day or when they are stuck indoors, but a fantastic learning tool both at home and in the classroom.

Here are some ideas for bingo games that can be used for teaching children everyday concepts and information. Some of them are pure fun, while others may be a bit more of a challenge.

  • People Bingo

This particular bingo game is great for teaching kids about different members of their community. You can put anything down on the bingo squares which may include things like professions such as policemen, teachers or other workers. Also included could be those who speak Spanish, someone whose name begins with the letter ‘H’ or someone walking their dog. The kids and adults then wander through the neighborhood finding people who match the description on the cards. It is also one that can be played on one day or over a longer period of time.

  • Nature Bingo

Spring is practically here and along with it is the desire to get outside and enjoy the sun and the warmth. One great bingo game to play with kids over the spring and into the summer and fall months is nature bingo. Bitz and Giggles has a free printable Nature Bingo card to use for spotting creatures and elements in the natural world.

  • Grocery Store Bingo

Teaching children about nutrition and eating right is important. Bingo offers a great and fun way to do this. The U.S. Department of Agriculture created their own Grocery Store Bingo just last year so that parents can play the game along with their children at the grocery store or local farmer’s market. Kids play the game by corresponding what is on their downloadable bingo card with the food in their basket. Five across in any direction is a bingo both in the game and nutritionally. • Bingo Apps for Kids on your Smartphone

There are few children today who have not begun their young lives interacting with electronic devices of every sort. There are scores of smartphone or tablet apps for children including those that feature bingo games. Most of these bingo games are available for free whether you have an Android, iPhone, or a smart tablet such as a Kindle Fire. Google play also features applications such as its Bingo for Kids app that is available here as a free download.
